Update: ''Why I Had Real $ex With Omotola Jalade In Her New Movie “Alter Ego” - Actor Wale Ojo Speaks Again

Nollywood movie produced by Esther Eyibio, Alter Ego, has been welcomed with criticisms because of its sexual themes.

In response to these criticisms, Wole Ojo, Nigerian actor and winner of the 2009 Amstel Malta Box Office reality show, said the sex scenes show the creativity of the producer.

“What they’ve done is to add a little bit of creativity to what they do. Basically, that is what movie production should be about. You coming with your own flavour and that is what they’ve done,” he told TheCable Lifestyle.
The movie, which centres around the effect of sexual abuse on children when they become adults, has Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde as lead actor.

Speaking further on the state of entertainment in Nigeria, the actor said that while there’s been growth, it could be faster.

“I think Nigerian entertainment is growing but I also think the growth is slow. I think it can grow faster and it’s a ground for investors to come and tap in while they can. It’s getting better and bigger,” he said.

When asked about his recent absence from the scene, Ojo said some of the movies he featured in two years ago are yet to be released.

The actor said he has “been doing quite a lot” and that he has “featured in a number of movies”, adding that “I have a couple more that I am working on”.

“The truth is that is not in my power because I am not the producer. I have movies from two years ago that have not been released. I’m sure that a couple of them will be released this year but I don’t know if they will be premiered because some will go straight to TV, online platforms,” he said.
The 33-year-old actor, like most of his peers, said a good script and pay package will determine if he will accept a movie role.

“For me to accept a role in a movie, I would consider a good script, good working conditions and of course the pay package. It’s very important in fact I only put it last for formality sake.”
